About This Project

The City of New Westminster was faced with an abbreviated timeline for their seasonal program guides. The booklets needed to be completely reformatted to accommodate a smaller dispensing rack while maintaining a balance between cost and quality. To that end, a number of samples were mocked-up so that the City could both ensure that the size worked with their distribution areas, and the paper weight wouldn’t break the binding.

Because of the impending printing deadline, a single page was designed in the new format — once it was approved, the rest of the guide came together quickly. The guide went to print on time, stayed within budget, and was available to the public on the expected date.
